Hello and welcome to another season of Arsenal.

Will it bring joy? Will it bring pain? Why not both?
House Maintenance
Before we get started, some quick Poorly Drawn Arsenal house maintenance. This summer this newsletter crossed 10,000 (!) subscribers. I try my best to not care about internet numbers, but truthfully this is a milestone I wanted to hit for a while.
If you will allow me to get on my soapbox for a second.
For people who make things and post them online, newsletters (Patreon, etc) are incredibly important. It’s the one platform we own that is algorithm free. Social networks have become algorithm feed first and suppress links (they don’t make money if you aren’t spending time on their site). So to have 10,000+ people say “yeah, I want you in my inbox” is incredibly humbling and I just want to take the time to say thank you.
Gets off soapbox
To mark the start of the year, I’ve revamped the site a bit. It should be easier to find the work you are looking for. Things are now broken down by category (kit reviews, new players, match drawings, and animations). There’s still some work I’d like to do in the future (I’m envisioning a page where you can click on an Arsenal player card and it shows you all the drawings I’ve done of that player) but for now it‘s at a good point for the start of the season.
Speaking of.
The offseason
Arsenal’s season officially kicks off this weekend.

Here’s how the offseason went. Andrea Berta was very busy this summer.

The Italian started his first summer at Arsenal by adding six new players to the squad and signing some current players to long term contracts.

Along with the above Arsenal also signed Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Nørgaard, and Cristhian Mosquera.
Finally, Arsenal released three kits this summer (technically two since the home kit was announced before the end of last season). My detailed reviews of each kit are below.

And that was more or less the offseason and preseason for the Arsenal men this summer.

Share the newsletter: tell your friends (or your enemies) about it.
Buy some merch: I put a lot of my drawings onto shirts, mugs, posters, stickers, etc. This helps keeps the lights on at PDA Headquarters and you get something in return. Neat!
Leave a Comment: leaving a comment just lets me that you like what I’m doing which is sometimes hard to know when you are sending out emails into the ether.
